As the largest landowner in the City of Carson, the Company's resources are largely directed to serve the local community and its citizens. We are actively involved in community activities and organizations such as Carson Coordinating Council, Child Guidance Program, Boys and Girls Club of Carson, Carson Symphony Association, Carson Women's Club, Adopt-A-School, Gardena-Carson YMCA, and Sister Cities Association. By attracting employers that bring jobs and economic benefits to the area, and by working in partnership with the Workforce Investment Network and the City's Job Clearinghouse, Watson Land Company makes a significant contribution to job growth and workforce development.
The Company's corporate leadership through financial support and employees' involvement in business and professional organizations is recognized at all levels. Watson Land Company executives currently hold leadership positions in organizations such as the Carson Chamber of Commerce, Carson Dominguez Business council, Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce, Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation, CBPA, NAIOP, NAREIT, California Chamber of Commerce and BOMA.

Watson Land Company has a proud tradition of commitment and service to the City of Carson and surrounding community. Through its employee volunteer program, its charitable giving, and its partnerships with nonprofit agencies and business and civic organizations, we strive to enhance the quality of life and address special needs in the community. One example of our long standing outreach is the Watson Land Company scholarship program. Now in its third decade, a four-year, $4,000 college scholarship is awarded to a deserving graduate, at each of the local high schools; Carson High School, Banning High School and the California Academy of Math and Science.
